Jay Scøtt is a Terrebonne-born singer-songwriter. His musical multitasking includes rap writing, singing, piano, guitar and ukulele (which he plays backwards) and beatmaking. Formerly known under the stage name PL3, the artist has been active on the Montreal scene for a decade now.
Jay Scøtt's versatility and eclecticism give a burst of flavor to his pop soundtracks that tease rap and folk. The narrative of his songs praises the daily life of the average Quebecer through touching lyrics, references to popular culture and catchy melodies, all sailing together towards an eternal pursuit of happiness, and this, despite the emotional lows that this life suggests...
Or Bleu
In 2023, the duo Or Bleu officially signed with the label Disques 7ième Ciel. Composed of music producers Charles Cozy and Fruits, this is the first project of its kind to join the ranks of the record label. The album features music composed entirely by the duo, with lyrics provided by a multitude of guest artists. The Or Bleu project officially began in 2020. Although they had collaborated on numerous productions together, this was the first time the idea of forming an official duo had been raised. Throughout 2020, Fruits and Cozy worked together and produced more than 200 unique tracks. The goal was to create personalized beat packs and send them to their favorite artists on the Quebec hip-hop scene.
