In the mid-1960s, the Beatles' first hit records and sensational television appearances created Beatlemania, and in their wake a host of British acts invaded North American radio, TV, and concert halls.

From Montreal, the Vintage Wine band, along with four female vocalists, returns to the Lac Brome Theatre to perform I Want to Hold Your Hand: The 60th Anniversary of the British Invasion. You will hear songs by the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Herman's Hermits, Dusty Springfield, the Hollies, the Searchers, Petula Clark, the Animals, Cilla Black, the Yardbirds, the Dave Clark Five, and others.

Craig Morrison, the band's guitarist, will introduce the songs with stories and slides. He recalled, "When I was a kid, I was one of the 73 million people that watched the Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show in February 1964. That thrilling experience changed so much for me, for music, and the culture in general." Join Vintage Wine and their guests for a fun and informative musical evening in honour of what the Beatles' press officer once called, "The 20th century's greatest romance."
