It was almost named Michelin. His sister prevented the catastrophe: "Come on, it's not a tire." 40 years later, now a director and actor, Michel-Maxime decided to write about his family. From the family farm in St-Polycarpe to the stage, there's a gap that the man decided to cross. With the simplicity of a storyteller striving to make peace with his origins, he revisits the experiences that shaped his identity, while sharing his thoughts on masculinity, mental health and homosexuality. An "irresistible autobiographical solo" (Le Devoir), Michelin speaks with humor and tenderness about identity, dreams, the passage of time, but above all, the love of a family.

Directed by Marie-Thérèse Fortin in the theatrical adaptation of his novel-monologue, Michel-Maxime Legault plays the game of confidences with immense love for his family in this exercise in letting go, where wry humor rubs shoulders with emotion. With a mastery of the art of storytelling, he interweaves intimate anecdotes with finely-tuned social observations. Michelin reminds us that every family, however imperfect, deserves to be celebrated for what it is. An ode to belonging and difference, where rurality meets hypersensitivity. After triumphing at Le Trident and Théâtre Denise-Pelletier, this "colorful and generous show [...] very tender, very funny and [...] very sincere" (ICI Première) will be presented at TLB.
