As a prelude to the MG3 concert, Théâtre de Lac-Brome presents a free 20-minute recital in the foyer at 7 p.m. The theatre doors will open at 7:45 p.m.
Twisted Pearl, deriving its name from a literal interpretation of the word "baroque" - an irregular pearl - is a Montréal-based ensemble of young musicians specializing in historically informed performance. Recognized as an emerging voice in Québec and beyond, the group performs regularly in Montréal, Chicago, and across North America.
The ensemble contributes to the revival of the composer-performer tradition by embracing a living practice grounded in stylistic research and creation. For Twisted Pearl, music is a collective endeavor, meant to be shared in close settings, around a glass of wine or a meal, echoing the musical practices of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.
This event is part of a series of pre-concert recitals highlighting young virtuosos and fostering the discovery of emerging talent.
