Marie-Noëlle Lavoie is a graduate of the Conservatoire de musique de Rimouski (piano, class of Pauline Charron) and holds a PhD in musicology from the Université de Montréal. She has been a professor at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal since 2014, where she teaches musicology, music history, musical literature, and research methodology.
