Jeanne Côté enters her thirties with the wind at her back. Hailing from the large family of Petite-Vallée, she carries a cultural baggage that is as unlikely as it is eclectic. Winner of the Francouvertes 2023 and finalist for the Prix Félix-Leclerc 2024, her unique writing, piano playing, and a stripped-down folk style have allowed her to win hearts in recent years. Following Suite pour personne (2023), she seizes the opportunity for a new album, set to release in February 2025, to take a slight detour from her Gaspesian roots: the album, more dynamic and groovy, is inspired by points of rupture and intersection, along with the unpredictable journey toward lightness.
