Ariane Roy, named a Révélation Radio-Canada for 2021-2022, is a young singer-songwriter from Quebec City. In her songs as well as performances she combines contrast and spontaneity, and she delights in offering lyrically rich, uninhibited alternative pop melodies wrapped up in a surprisingly mature voice. Beguiling and refreshingly at ease as she plays guitar, she and her band promise to make a splash with her show “medium plaisir,” directed by singer-songwriter LUMIÈRE.
In March 2020, Ariane Roy released her first EP, “Avalanche,” which was nominated in the EP Pop category at the Gala alternatif de la musique indépendante du Québec (GAMIQ). In October 2020, she was a finalist in the Francouvertes showcase competition, where she performed her new song “Ta main,” and released the song's music video—her first—directed by Adrian Villagomez. The video won the Jury Prize at the first Rendez-vous Québec Cinéma video competition and secured Roy her first nomination at the ADISQ gala and at the Juno Awards in the category of Music Video of the Year. Roy was also a finalist for the SOCAN song award two years running, with “Ta main” and “Ce n'est pas de la chance.” In 2021, she won the Slaight Music Emerging Songwriter Award from the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame. Her first official album, “medium plaisir,” was released in February 2022 on the La maison fauve label.

SOLO SHOW

Émile Proulx-Cloutier goes solo to tell stories in all their raw and lively energy. New songs, new tales, new slams: this one-man show springs from the actor-musician's desire to try something different—creating a show first (with the album to follow one day, someday…). So the new work will premiere in concert, and songs from the albums Aimer les monstres and Marée haute will shine with renewed life.

À mains nues (“barehanded”)—an act of stripping away, of vulnerability, of sensuality.
À mains nues, it's also about taking off your gloves to fight, to engage, to confront, to go further.

After the success of his first three solo shows and the TV series Léo, actor and writer Fabien Cloutier presents Délicat, his new one-man show.

“Delicate” is a term one wouldn't automatically associate with Fabien Cloutier, who always delights in telling things as they are and in language that is a sharp as a scalpel. Delicate, because the artist's unique and colourful writing constantly revels in detail—without losing its edge. Because, despite what we may believe, nothing is off limits. You just need a delicate touch.
